My First Car! The one you never forget... It was an 'econobox' tin can with low power, but it was mine.
My first car. Like your first girlfriend/boyfriend, you never forget. I was tired of arguing with Mom to borrow her ugly orange Ford Pinto to go out on dates... I used it as basic transportation to HS, then College and my jobs at Chuck-E-Cheese then Pay-N-Save... and yeah, the occasional date!

My first car
What can I say about "clunk"? The heater core streamed from under the dash, the trunk and hood were tied down, the back doors tied together shut, the siding flapped, and the suspension was shot. But the engine and transmission were rebuilt - it was my grandmothers car given to me by my dad. My step brothers got a z-24 cavalier and a mustang II - I got clunk. I was run off the road and totaled it on my way to school in 1984 in Bellevue WA. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Chevy_II_/_Nova

My 2nd Car- it was not exciting- But it got the job done. Sturdy, reliable econobox, like my first car.
After my first car got stolen, then returned all messed up, I decided it was time for another car. Found this at a local dealer on Aurora in North Seattle for $1,900. It was pleasant, clean and reliable. Good enough for a college student.

Current Ride- Ford Fusion Hybrid
Great car. My first Hybrid, a big sedan that gets 42 MPG. Not as much power as the 300M, but a decent amount of get up and go for basic driving. One big downside: had to replace the transmission... it wasn't cheap!

Got a good job out of college, then bought my first NEW car!
I had been looking forward to getting a brand-new car, and that time finally came when I started my first professional job. I didn't have a lot of money, and it cost about $13,000. I consciously bought American, and Saturn was supposed to be GM's "import killer". This car was pretty solid, moved well and looked sporty. It was NOT quite up to Japanese car standards, it had a couple annoying rattles. However, overall, I was very happy with this Saturn Couple. I had it for about 9 years, a good run. It was still in good shape when I sold it.

My Only Motorcyle
Summer after high school, many of my buddies were riding motorcycles, so I couldn't be left out! I got this from my brother, I think it was just a long "borrow", because when I was done riding, it went back to him. It was a fun summer, and I commuted to university with the bike through part of the fall, but when it started getting icy in the mornings, I hung up my helmet. Also, almost all of my buddies had crashed by then, I wanted to avoid that fate! Great memories, a fun summer riding around on a motorcycle.

Second new car, first really nice car
I had my Saturn SC for 9 years, I decided it was time for another NEW ride. My buddy Ron had a nice car, and he was suggesting to me that I get something a little more upscale. So, I did! It was very nice, power leather seats, power windows, moon roof, AC, a nice (stock) stereo (cassette, CD and radio). I had it over 15 years.
